Homeopathy Hooey

November 16th, 2007 · No Comments

If you’ve ever considered homeopathy, this takedown of the “science” of SUGAR PILLS is a must-read.

I’ve always found homeopathy practitioners almost adorably ridiculous — like the little girls who MUST sleep with every stuffed animal in their bed so that no one’s feelings are hurt. But this article reminds us that homeopathy hurts — in particular, by promoting fuzzy thinking that tells us that science has nothing to offer. In other words, homeopathy is making us collectively dumber.

Maybe you’re thinking, Homeopaths aren’t anti-science, they’re anti-biased science, done by docs who want to stack the decks against alternative therapies. Well, did you know that some homeopaths believe their pills offer a solution to AIDS epidemic in Africa? If that’s not anti-scientific, I don’t know what is.

Homeopathy does not deserve the benefit of our doubt.
