Having trouble getting in your greens? Try a green smoothie — lots of volume, not lots of calories.
For an extra boost: While drinking, think about how healthy and vibrant you are — or will be, after a few smoothies. Alternatively, think about dancing penguins.
GREEN SMOOTHIE:
Blend 1/2 apple, 1/2 banana, juice of 1/2 lemon, 1 cup water, 6 ice cubes, and 1 scoop protein powder (optional). Fill the rest of the blender with fresh spinach, about 3 cups. If you’re a nutmeg fan, sprinkle some in. Pour into a pretty glass and drink. You’re going to be surprised at how tasty this is, spinach and all.
