Sunday evening I had my friend over for a yummy lasagna, and she told me something that had my stomach turning: On the reality TV show Wife Swap, there’s a family who, among some other pretty gross habits, eat their meat raw. As in, they have a glass jar in the fridge full of nice little cubes of chicken raised on their farm, and when they want a snack, they dig in. Hey, at least the chicken’s all natural. [Correction: my friend tells me it was raw beef, not chicken. Somehow that doesn’t seem quite so bad. Or?]
I did some Googling to find the inevitable health movement behind the raw meat diet. In case you’re curious — hey, maybe it’s for you — here’s one of the many pages devoted to the idea. Here’s another. These pages leave me to conclude that whatever the benefit of a raw meat diet, it does not include improvement in web design skills.
