I may be one of few people who likes the new Britney Spears better than the old Britney Spears. She’s a lot more interesting, and if her drug and alcohol use prevents her from recording more Pavarotti-style classics a la “Oops, I did it again!” the world will not be the lesser for it. Also, I thought bald was a good new look.
Sure sure, I’m desperately worried about Britney’s mental health. I’m sad that her kids have a crazy, rich club kid for a mom. (Although not as sad as I am for all the kids who have crazy, broke club kids for moms.) If I spent much time thinking about it, I’m sure I’d also be worried about her physical health–drinking, drugs, cigarettes, and junk food is a pretty toxic smorgasbord.
But one thing I am not worried about is her figure. I didn’t see the VMAs, but when my friend Melissa was all abuzz over it and people’s reactions to Brit’s figure, I looked up photos here.
People please! She looks fabulous!! I am going to switch immediately to a diet of drinking, drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes–and have two kiddies–and hope for similar results. Check back for results in 18 months.

That’s just it… I just totally couldn’t believe they were calling her “fat”!! If that’s “fat” than what is 95% of America?!

Britney’s the whipping girl du jour. I guess since 95% of American is worried about their weight, Britney’s taking the fall. But she kind of reminds me of a game we used to play on my little brother. We’d challenge him to race down the hallway, but at the last minute we’d pull the rug out from under him so he fell flat on his face. (I’m not proud of this.) the thing was, we did this over and over and over. And he fell on his face over and over and over. Obviously he liked the attention more than he hated the fall.

I couldn’t agree more. I think she and Pink should start a club. They look fabulous and have a nice amount of muscle that could be put to good use beating on some media patsies.
